Breakfast, it's the most important meal of the day. Thanks to Over the Ditch Cafe, it's also the tastiest!

Trick-or-Treat, Candy Quest 2013
It’s that time of year again.
Soon the streets will be filled with candy-crazed ghosts,
ghouls, zombies, and sexy MILF
pirates. This year, both of my kids wanted to be filthy bloodsuckers. No,
not lawyers…vampires. My 10-year-old son told me “Dad, I would love to be a
vampire for Halloween. But, not the stupid sparkly kind.” Then he started a two-minute
rant about spontaneous combustion. That
was probably one of my proudest moments as a father.
We didn’t have enough time or money to do pumpkins this
year. Fortunately, I found a couple of rally cheap fake jack-o-lanterns at the
corner store. They’ll do. They certainly aren’t as awesome as this one:
This guy has some pretty cool pictures. It’s definitely
worth checking out.

Ink on top of Ink: My amazing cover-up Tattoo
I don’t know why I waited so long. I have wanted to cover up my tattoo for many years now. I just never got around to it.
I went looking for an artist a couple years ago. After doing some shopping around, I found a guy that impressed me. There were a couple problems though:
- The shop he worked at was in a very shady part of town.
- He wanted to do the cover-up completely freehand. I was very uncomfortable about that.
A few years later and I was shopping around again. I was lucky when I met G.P. by going into IronClad Tattoo in Jax Beach! Once I told him what I was thinking about, he seemed to know exactly what I wanted.
He did an amazing job.
My tattoo is still not done, I have to go back soon to get more color. The amazing part is that despite it’s unfinished state, you still can’t tell that it is a cover-up!
I’m not much of a photographer, but here it is:
I will post a pic of the finished work soon.

Focus T25: Week two is through!
After
I survived week one, week two should be easy…right? Nope. Even though the
workouts didn’t change (beside workout order) week two somehow seemed more
difficult.
I
did my very best for 25 minutes each day, even though it was more difficult.
Somehow, despite my efforts, I feel like I have made absolutely ZERO progress.
I have not lost weight, or inches, and I don’t feel like I’m in any better
shape.
That’s
not the end of it though, I will finish this program…even if it gets harder
ever week! But, it better not!
Next
week, I start using Shakeology.

Focus T25: Week one is done!
Look, I know that I’m not in the greatest shape. But, I was
feeling pretty confident having just finished the Body
Beast program. I have tried many different in-home workouts, but have
always had an issue with completing them. Something always comes up. Last
minute trips, injuries, and severe illness have all ruined my progress at some
point or another. With that in mind, I’m sure that you’ll understand just how
good I felt having finally completing a program.
I wanted that good feeling to continue, and I wanted
something new. So, I went back to beachbody.com and researched their programs.
I’m a huge fan of P90X, but I’ve never been able to finish it. That’s the whole
reason why I purchased Body Beast (and several other programs). I’ve heard
great things about the Insanity workout, but I know its way to difficult for
me! Then I saw it. Insanity Jr. :
“It’s about time.”
Shaun T, the creator of Insanity bring a new workout: Focus
T25. He claims that it can deliver an hour’s worth of work in only 25
minutes.
I was very excited when the package came in the mail. So
excited that I immediately put in into the DVD player to see what I was about
to get into. My 9 year-old daughter ran into the room and began to do the
workout. She completed it. Then she told me that I would not be able to….
challenge accepted.
I am now officially one week into Focus T25, and it is
probably the hardest workout that I have EVER done. At the end of each workout,
after I extract myself from the seat puddle on the floor, I thank Shaun for
making it only 25 minutes!
I have promised my daughter that if I am able to finish this
program, and have good results that I will post my before/after photos online.
So keep an eye out…
