Tactical Zombie Prep--Weekender Edition

“Making the World a Safer Place Through Effective Training.”
That is the Mission statement of Zombie Industries who make the most realistic shooting targets that I have ever seen.

We spent our Saturday afternoon in NOT GOING TO TELL YOU! (Location redacted per landowners request) filling a green zombie full of lead. As I mentioned earlier, this target is very realistic. With each shot, there was noticeable damage on our undead assailant. The geniuses at Zombie Industries even figured out how to make the undead target bleed!  Basically, the target is a plastic shell, painted from the inside. The shell is then lined with paintballs and filled with foam. The result is a very fun shooting aid that can be used to teach firearms safety, to practice for a zombie apocalypse, or any other situation where a mindless horde might choose to endanger your family.

We had a lot of fun with this zombie. It took shots from 9 different firearms, totaling around 600 rounds and it could have taken more! The only way we could have had more fun is if we would have had the presence of mind to take quality video. Zombie Industries web page encourages users to submit videos for their “Zombie kill of the week” contest. I guess we’ll know better for next time.

Since I can’t show you a video of our expeience, here’s a YouTube vid of somebody else enjoying his purchase!

If you're looking to take your zombie prep to another level, AMC has teamed up with UC Irvine to develop a MOOC based off of the hit show "The Walking Dead." The class is set to start October 14th 2013 and, like most MOOCs, it's totally free! Find more info here.

Don't forget to double-tap....
